The Little Art School is in Downtown Bloomington and it’s brand new! The physical space is unique as well as aesthetically pleasing. The teachers are well qualified, enthusiastic, and patient. Dr. Daniella Barroqueiro, Director of the school and Art Education Professor at ISU, is inviting homeschooling families to visit (as a group or individual family) to see the studio and talk about their goals, interests, and values and to describe what kind of art education they envision for their children. Children will explore various mediums, and will have the opportunity to express their own creativity and vision of the world, while learning artistic techniques and design concepts. What makes The Little Art School special is how they customize the art experience to the specific students in their classes. They also welcome the challenge of taking content from the homeschooling curriculum and building an art lesson around it. There will be open houses periodically, so parents should look for those announcements on their Facebook page or website. Please contact Dr. Barroqueiro to arrange a meeting and to discuss the possibilities of enriching art experiences for your children.
